"I’ve had a renters policy through this State Farm office for about two years. Getting the policy was quick and easy. The first time I actually tried to use it has been a completely different story. My garage was broken into and my bike was stolen. I called Bower’s office to ask how to start a claim and what my next steps should be. I went into that call already knowing my bike was covered under my renters policy. Instead of helping me file a claim or even explaining the process, the receptionist told me that bikes probably are not covered under renters insurance and said she would check with underwriting and call me back “right away.” No one ever called me back. I wasn’t asking for anything complicated – just how to use the policy I’ve been paying for every month. Instead I’ve gotten contradictory statements about what is covered, zero follow-through on promised callbacks, and the clear impression they’re trying to make it hard for me to even start a claim. They’ve been absolutely no help when it actually matters. This is a huge contrast compared to my previous State Farm agent in Alaska, who was always clear, responsive, and straightforward about coverage and claims. If you just want someone to sell you a policy, this office will do that. If you want an agent who stands behind the policy, gives straight answers, and actually helps when you have a loss, look elsewhere."
